The legal basis for providing educational services at the College is the license issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Морський фаховий коледж будує свою діяльність на підставі законодавства України, зокрема, законодавчих та нормативних актів про освіту, а також відповідно до Статуту ХДМА,  Положення про Відокремлений структурний підрозділ «Морський фаховий коледж Херсонської державної морської академії».

На 9 циклових комісіях Морського фахового коледжу працюють 83  штатних педагогічних працівників, серед яких відмінники відмінники освіти України, заслужені тренери, почесні працівники морської галузі, кандидати наук, викладачі вищої категорії, викладачі-методисти, магістри.

The main areas of activity of the Maritime Professional College are:

  • Training specialists in accordance with the state order and contractual obligations at the level of Professional Junior Bachelor;
  • Educational, cultural, upbringing, and methodological activities;
  • Cooperation and external relations with enterprises of Ukraine.

The structural units of the College are created in accordance with current legislation and its main objectives and operate based on separate regulations approved by the Rector.

The structural units of the College include:

  • Departments;
  • Cycle (subject) commissions;
  • Administrative and maintenance units;
  • Units ensuring the educational process.

The educational process is provided with:

  • Classrooms and training laboratories;
  • Educational and production workshops;
  • Sports and recreation complex;
  • Libraries with reading halls;
  • Methodological offices;
  • Catering facilities;
  • Assembly halls.

To ensure the right and opportunity of students to independently resolve issues of education and living, protect their rights and interests, and participate in the management of the educational institution, student self-government is established.

Student self-government operates in accordance with current legislation of Ukraine, the Statute of the educational institution, the Regulations on Student Self-Government, and other acts adopted pursuant to them.

Student self-government bodies at the institution include:

– студентська рада ХДМА та її структурних підрозділів;

– органи студентського самоврядування на рівнях відділення, курсу, академічної групи.

Student self-government ensures the protection of the rights and interests of students at Kherson State Maritime Academy and its structural subdivisions and participates in the management of the Academy.

With the consent of the Student Council, decisions are made on:

– відрахування осіб, які навчаються у Херсонській державній морській академії та її структурних підрозділах, їх поновлення на навчання;

– переведення осіб, які навчаються у закладі освіти за контрактом за рахунок коштів фізичних та юридичних осіб, на навчання за державним замовленням та навпаки;

– призначення академічних стипендій;

  • - Selection of candidates for municipal, regional, academic, and social scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and the President of Ukraine.

The systematic and fruitful work of the academic and teaching staff of Kherson State Maritime Academy and the pedagogical staff of the Maritime Professional College ensures the implementation of educational and professional programs aimed at training competitive specialists for the national and international labor markets.
